I am a truly gorgeous raw Ethiopian Opal gemstone. I have been delicately hand-facetted to bring out all my natural beauty and colours and embellished with numerous natural white Topaz stones to enhance my beauty.

Opal’s play-of-colour can be compared to a lyrical dance, sometimes expressing itself as a grand jeté of bold, broad flashes of colour, other times as smaller, quicksteps of pinpoint flashes.

This is thus the best choice of rings to propose to lady love!

Made of solid sterling silver, with 3 micron, 22k gold plating, this contemporary design spells the perfect way to state your undying love for her.

This stone exhibits the blue, green, red and orange hues in a softer tone. The white topaz stones simply enhance the stunning beauty of the gemstone.

The name of this gemstone is believed to have originated in India (the source of the first opals brought to the Western world). In Sanskrit, it was called Upala, a “precious stone." .” In ancient Rome, this became opalus.

It is also the birthstone of October born. Opal was dubbed “queen of gems” in ancient times because of its flashes of reflected light. It has inspired writers to compare it to fireworks, galaxies and volcanoes.

Bedouins once believed opal held lightning and fell from the sky during thunderstorms. Ancient Greeks thought opals bestowed the gift of prophesy and protection from disease. Europeans long maintained opal to be a symbol of purity, hope and truth. Hundreds of years ago, opal was believed to embody the virtues and powers of all coloured stones.

Opal is also the gemstone given to celebrate the 14th wedding anniversary.

In Ethiopia, the stunning gemstone is found near the village of Wegel Tena, in Wollo Province.

This stunning ring in made of solid sterling silver and is plated in 22k gold (3 micron thickness) to ensure long-lasting stunning beauty and durability.

Each piece is designed to make your heart beat a little faster.

Inspired by what we think every woman wants in her life and on her body; natural, timeless, functional and beautiful.

Every piece of Raw Carat jewellery celebrates minimalist forms, raw and textured gemstones and a joyous feeling for the wearer.
