Welcome to the magical world of raw gemstone jewelry.
Our love story began on a mountain top! And it's been a wonderful journey since.
Like many of you, the fascinating colors, shapes and textures of nature have always inspired and awed us. We often wondered how we could in some way take home some of the munificence of Nature and fill our senses every day.
Then, while on a trip to the stunning Austrian Alps, a crazy thought struck us. What if we could take home the wonder of these magnificent, jagged, mysterious peaks and fill our senses every day?
That day the Universe threw an idea at us. Raw Gemstone Jewelry!
So we set out to create a range that celebrates Nature’s bounty and make it wearable art. A range that is unabashedly individualistic – like the stones themselves. And the women we make them for.
Our mission was to celebrate the stunning beauty of natural, organic, raw gemstones. These stones are born deep within the Earth’s core and formed over millions of years by unimaginable pressure and intense heat triggered by natural cataclysms. Some even formed in space by interplanetary collisions and brought to earth through meteorites!
At Raw Carat, their perfect imperfections, inclusions, natural fissures and sparkle are presented to you just as nature intended them to be – raw, rough, bold and beautiful.
Our stones come from all corners of the world – from the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, from the Herkimer County of New York and from the remote mountains of Eastern Siberia!
Each stone is handpicked for its brilliant color, shape and luminescence. It is then carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans into jewelry using solid 925 sterling silver, which is nickel free, hypo-allergenic and anti-tarnish plated.
At Raw Carat, we create every piece of jewelry like it’s the only piece we have. There is no compromise on material, craftsmanship or attention to detail. And that’s true for every piece we create!
